Rules of 8-Ball Pool

1.
On the Break
1.1 Color balls are racked in a triangle with 8-ball in the center
and arrange color balls alternately. The game begins with cue
ball in hand behind the head string.
1.2 If 2 type of balls were pocketed on the break, any type of
ball can be play.
1.3 If you scratch on the break, you’ll lose your turn. Choices
of balls are open even if you pocketed any ball on the break.
(except 8-ball)
2. Fouls (2 shot penalty, opposing player gets 2 visit,
except when only the 8-ball remained for him)
2.1 If you pocket the opponent’s ball.
2.2 If object ball or cue ball jumped off the table.
2.3 If you fail to make contact with the legal ball.
2.4 pocked the cue ball anytime during the game. Opposing player
get cue ball in hand behind the head string but must play away
from the head string.
2.5 If your opponent can solve the snooker, he will get another
shot.
3. Loss of Game
3.1 Pockets the 8-ball when it is not the legal object ball.
3.2 Fouls or scratch when pocketing the 8-ball
3.3 Pockets the 8-ball in a pocket other than the one designated.
3.4 Jumps the 8-ball off the table at any time.
3.5 Fail to make contact with the 8-ball, while the 8-ball is
the last ball for both players.
3.6 When the opponent legally pocketed the 8-ball.
3.7 If your opponent sink only the 8-ball on the break.
3.8 If you sink the 8-ball and any color ball on the break.
REMARKS :
- Ball in Hand If your opponent make a foul or scratch when you
have only the 8-ball remain. You will get cue ball in hand. You
can place the cue ball anywhere on the table and play in any direction
to pocket the 8-ball.
- Rules are varied from various country and club. If no specific
rules discussed or identified prior to the game, Boss’s rules
are applied.’’
- Pool is the game of sport for amusement. Win or loss game is
a common consequence.
